Established in 1992 in the Catskill/Hudson Valley Region of New York, our firm seeks to honor the sense of place, the specific requirements of each client and the people who will experience each landscape.
Restaino Design is a DBE firm certified by the NYSDOT, a WBE firm certified by the Empire State Development Corporation, carries professional liability insurance and uses the latest version of AutoCAD as well as other graphics software. We are an ASLA and Upstate NY US Green Building Council member and fully licensed to practice in the State of New York.

Barbara Z. Restaino, RLA, ASLA, LEED AP
Ms. Restaino is a licensed Landscape Architect in New York State and Principal of Restaino Design Landscape Architecture where she has practiced for 23 years. She is a Board Member of the New York State Council of Landscape Architects, holds an MLA from Cornell University, MPA from Syracuse University, BFA from Pratt Institute and is a LEED Accredited Professional. She is certified by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards. She combines her landscape architectural design experience with a commitment to environmental and community issues.
David Munford, Graphic Designer, CAD Technician, Artist
Mr. Munford has been with Restaino Design for over 10 years and is an accomplished Artist, Graphic Designer and CAD Manager. He is well versed in AutoCAD as well as other graphics programs and produces construction documents and details, conceptual plans and presentation drawings. He is a graduate of the SUNY Empire College with a degree in Fine Arts and has a Certificate in Computer-Aided Design from New York University.
