Grounds Improvement Plan
Daniel Pierce Library & Time and Valleys Museum

The Time and Valleys Museum celebrates the Catskill towns drowned by the NYC Reservoirs. Restaino Design provided a grounds improvement plan for the existing Daniel Pierce Library expansion and landscape plans for the new Time and Valleys Museum.
The plan specified use of local materials where possible and included: new large cut stone retaining walls, bluestone sidewalks, an expansive bluestone terrace and site amenities. Native plants are primarily featured in mass plantings to reduce maintenance and provide visual effect.
Initial Phase Grounds Improvement Plan
As part of a county-wide effort to improve the visual quality of local townships, Restaino Design Landscape Architecture, PC provided a grounds improvement plan for the existing historic building of the Daniel Pierce Library.
The plan specified use of local materials where possible and included: a new fieldstone retaining wall, bluestone sidewalks, flag pole, brick base, site amenities and new plantings.
The redesign contributed to the Town of Neversink winning the Sullivan Renaissance Grand Prize Award for 2001.
